The video for the Boiler Room Festival is inspired by the location of the festival and the wider theme for the festival, as presented in the brief. The landscape in the video is an industrial space, combined with bright colours and organic shapes. The environment itself serves to represent the mix and match philosophy.
Fluidity infuses itself into these mechanical environments. Bodies claim spaces. The work becomes an homage to the underground dance community of Amsterdam and how dancing and bodies become tools for activism.
The whole video plays with the duality between rigid and fluid, mechanical and organic, bright and dark, Fast paced and slowmotion, Eclectic and calm.
